Sweet Dreams ...

I had a bit of a thing about the band Air Supply when I was a teenager.  My best friend and I would sit on her bedroom floor listening over and over to her collection of their albums.  We never got sick of the songs, “Love and other Bruises”, “Lost in Love”, “Making love out of nothing at all”, “I’m all out of love” (do you see a theme here!) – just perfect for teenaged girls – songs of unrequited love and loss and loneliness.  Each time the band came on Countdown I would be glued to the screen fantasying over Graham Russell and his gorgeous eyes and flowing blond hair.  My friend liked the dark, sulty looks of Russell Hitchcock.

The challenge on Scrap that Song this month was to use a song from the 1980’s to inspire a page layout.  So very many wonderful songs in that decade …
 Call Me – Blondie
Jessie's Girl - Rick Springfield
1999 - Prince
Rock the Casbah - Clash
Hungry Like the Wolf - Duran Duran
Do You Really Want To Hurt Me - Culture Club
Every Breath You Take - Police
Girls Just Want To Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper
Jump - Van Halen
Faith - George Michael
It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) - R.E.M.
Need You Tonight - INXS
… just to name a few.

Searching through my stash on unscrapped photographs I stumbled across this delightful picture of Rachel sleeping soundly on the lounge.  She looked so peaceful lying there, off in her own special dreamland.
How could I not use a blast from my past in the Air Supply song Sweet Dreams (from The one that you love album released in 1981).
